Saral Office
Enhancements:
- In Advanced search/Filter – if user filters some clients and press ‘Close’ without click to Select button, then message is prompted asking to Select filtered clients or not.
- In Client details Notes – character limit is increased from 100 to 250.
- New registration included for those having file sharing method for multi user registration.
Service Tax:
- New service codes, amendments and abatements, notified w.e.f. 01/07/2010, are included
Balance Sheet:
- For Companies – Menu are reorganized to help user understand the operations well.
- Assessee information – Screen look is enhanced.
- Option settings
- Screen look is enhanced and unused options are removed/ disabled
- For company -> ‘Reserve & Surplus details’ option is switched ON and disabled.
- Ledger master
- ITR linking is not shown if in option setting ‘Link to income tax returns’ is not selected
- For company – ‘Schedule VI Entry’ button is shown, so that user can switch to schedule VI entry from ledger master.
- On selecting the Notes/Attachment option – Notes/Attachments entry details are always shown in the screen
- Share capital
- Screen look is enhanced
- Preview option is removed.
- Incase Subscribed/Issued/Called up/Paid up shares mismatch, then message is prompted informing the mismatch & user is not allowed to save the data
- Reserve & Surplus
- Screen look is enhanced
- ‘Transfer ledgers’ caption changed to ‘Other ledgers’.
- In case previous year option is ON then current year option balance is carried forward from previous year and user is not allowed to modify.
- Preview option is removed.
- Check box to select group name is removed. For other ledgers - group name selection is mandatory.
- Schedule VI entry
- Screen look is enhanced.
- Auto link option is provided to select entries having single schedule for selection
- In schedule selection – on double click schedule gets selected and other unused options are removed.
- Note: provided to indicate the options available in the screen
- For each schedule – Notes option is provided to capture multiple notes with print option
- In Salary computation settings screen – option is provided to calculate partner’s salary as per provision applicable for A.Y. 2009-10 or A.Y. 2010-11 onwards. (This is applicable from F.Y. 2009-10)
- Before opening ‘Balance Sheet – Schedule VI’ or ‘Profit & Loss A/c – Schedule VI’ or ‘Consolidated Report’ – Validation is added to check if schedule VI linking is done; Incase link is not done then user is prompted with a message to either go to schedule VI link or to continue
- Profit & Loss (normal) -> Profit posting
- Earnings per share’s – Sub amount is removed
- Delete option is provided to delete the taxes paid details (new rows entered by user).
- In case previous year option is ON then current year option balance is carried forward from previous year and user is not allowed to modify.
- Preview option is removed.
- Check box to select group name is removed. For other ledgers - group name selection is mandatory.
- Profit and Loss (Schedule VI) & Balance Sheet (Schedule VI) report – enhanced to include net purchase consumption and DTA & DTL details
- For company – New consolidated reports provided –most of the requirement of Schedule VI complied with
- Screen look is enhanced.
- Printing address is made optional & instead of Asst. Year, Fin. Year is printed.
- PL Foot note, BS Foot note & PL Approp. Foot note is added.
- Sub-schedule report option is added.
- Quick report option is removed.
- All Report’s format is enhanced with good formatting.
- Notes entered in ledger master (with print option selected) is shown in sub-schedule report.
- Notes entered in Schedule VI entry (with print option selected) is shown in schedule report.
- Negative amount are displayed in brackets () and Indian comma is not applied as it will cause problem to user while trying to select multiple cells and see the Sum in excel application.
- Director(s), Date, place & auditor (including joint auditors) are printed in Footer with proper formatting in P&L and BS report. Auditor’s sign to left option is also handled.
- In Fixed Assets and unsecured loans report – respective schedule notes entered in Schedule VI entry is printed.
- Balance Sheet Abstract, Accounting Policy, Notes to Accounts and Directors Report are provided in the excel report itself.
- DTA/DTL report is provided as part of Notes to accounts
Income Tax
New Features:
- Now users can import Tally data directly into B/S AND P/L of ITR with ease. This feature has been there since three years in Saral TaxOffice and now incorporated in Saral IncomeTax for the Benefit of users. This is a special tool for the Users, which is helpful during last minute uploading of finalized tally data to B/S and P/L of ITR.
- Available in Utilities menu/ in ITR Balance Sheet screen / Profit & Loss screen.
- MAT credit calculation handled in detail along with carry forward of MAT credit [Detailed entry/Loading earlier year data provided in MAT – Cr. 115JAA ->“…” button].
- Importing from FORM 26AS file to Tax paid details in Computation [available in Utilities menu].
- Now users can Download and Open ITR V - through an option provided in e-Transaction menu with ease.
Enhancements:
- In ITR – Data Entry and view option is given in separate tab, so that users can easily know which are the items they have to fill in ITR directly. All other items other than given in Data entry generally ported to ITR either from Masters screen or from computation menu.
- In entry view – ITR schedules captions are made more understandable to user (ex: “Part A Gen 3” is changed to “Partners detail”).
- In Business/Profession screen ‘Depreciation as per profit/loss account’ data is imported from ITR Part A – P&L (Depreciation) with an option [switch off the option if importing is not needed]. Applicable from A.Y. 2010-11.
- In MIS Details – Refund Claimed amount is automatically filled incase refund is present in computation.
- Computation/Assessee/Challan/MIS Report interface is enhanced and unused options are removed.
- As per CBDT Amended Rule 12- makes it Mandatory to file electronic return- Amended provision is as follows
- For Individuals / HUF / Firm falling under audit u/s 44AB need to file electronically (no paper returns), with or without Digital Signature.
- Companies filing under ITR 6 need to file electronically (no paper returns) with Digital Signature.
According to the above mentioned rule following things are taken care off
- An item is added in Warning (missing mandatory) which checks whether the assessee falls under the Provisions of Section 44AB of the Income Tax Act,1961 as automatically prompts message, if the information’s are not filled up in ‘PART A OI of ITR’ /‘Other information’ & PART A : GEN: GENERAL (2) /’Rep. Assessee & Audit details’.
- In addition to the above a warning is shown when user generates paper return, indicating to file electronically.
- For ITR-6 ‘Auto e-filing’ option is removed as digital signature has to be included while uploading the XML file.
- Guidance to ITR filing with Digital Signature – link is provided.
- CPC Receipt no. and date is captured in MIS Details (available in the acknowledgement form sent by CPC - on receipt of ITR-V) and CPC receipt no. option is provided in Assessee search.
- Cost of inflation index for A.Y 2011-12 (711) is incorporated.
- In Computation Report
- Surcharge and Education CESS amount are shown separately.
- In case of refund bank details entered in ITR are shown (A/c number, Cheque/ECS & MICR code).
- New registration included for those having file sharing method for multi user registration.
